Commemorating 2000 Years of Christianity
approx. 28 min. (To view the full text of talk, click on title)
(Available on video in English – German and Portuguese)

The year 2000 marks the anniversary of the birth of Christ. A time to celebrate. A time to ponder and reflect on the past. A time also for the Church to reconsider its attitude towards Israel. In a heart-searching talk Sister Pista of the Evangelical Sisterhood of Mary (founded by Mother Basilea Schlink in Darmstadt, Germany) asks, 'But how can we celebrate when our hands are stained?' Speaking as one who grew up in Hitler's Germany, she brings a challenging call to prayer, repentance and reconciliation.
