Kanaan Message for Today

Monday after Pentecost

Jesus Christ said: “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth.” John 14:16-17

In His overwhelming love and concern Jesus did not leave His followers desolate when He departed from this earth, but sent the Holy Spirit to them. He is always with us, because He lives in our hearts.
It is the Holy Spirit who guides, calls, comforts, equips and empowers. He reveals Jesus to us, reminds us of His words and surrounds us with His love. He does great things through us; and when we are in danger of going wrong, He cautions and restrains us. He is the Spirit of wisdom, counsel and understanding (Isaiah 11:2) and the Spirit of truth (John 14:17). He is also the Spirit of life (Romans 8:2), of faith (2 Corinthians 4:13) and of power (2 Timothy 1:7). By bringing us to faith in Christ, the Holy Spirit makes us children of God. He empowers us to witness (John 15:26-27), calls to service and sends out (Acts 13:2,4).
He deserves our praise and worship every day for leading us in His infinite love and equipping us for prayer, faith and service.
